What do the children wear?
Fairy Ballet – Most of the students will wear a favourite dress up costume they have at home while others prefer to wear ballet outfits ie. Leotards, tights, ballet skirts and pink ballet shoes etc. (bare feet is fine)
Move & Groove – Girls often like to come in dance wear. Some like to wear leggings and or with a ra ra skirt and top. Boys will wear a tracksuit or shorts and top. If the children happen to have ballet shoes are great, though bare feet is fine.
Grooving Preps & Little Groovers – Girls wear dance wear/active wear. ie. dance pants and top or leotard, some wear leggings and tops. Boys wear tracksuit pants or shorts. If children have jazz shoes they are welcome to wear, (Tan split sole Jazz shoes for girls, and Black split sole Jazz shoes for boys) though bare feet is great too. The most important thing with clothing, is that the children are comfortable and they are not restricted with movement or when stretching.

Can I stay and watch?
Of course you can, that is part of the fun as a parent. For most, it’s a real buzz watching your child enjoy, improve and interact in a dance class. It is also often reassuring to the children that you are there. I do ask that you keep the noise level to a minimum and if you happen to have a sibling/siblings with you that may be having an “off day” or a “moment”, it would be appreciated if you could leave the room at that particular time so I am not competing with the children’s attention.
Can I leave the premises while my child/children are doing class?
You can, if you and your child are confident and happy with that situation. You will need to ask another parent to look after your child in case they need to use the toilet, or wait for you to return.
Is there a concert at the end of the year?
Yes, there is an end of year performance, though not a full, extravagant concert theatre performance. The children will perform dance routines they have been learning throughout the second half of the year . It is purely an opportunity for the children to perform to an audience, in a very comfortable and nurturing environment. Performing is a huge part of dance as well as very rewarding for them in many ways.
